Our approach to your event is a personal one, we work closely with you to ensure your occasion is sensational, and we try and include everything we can to avoid any hidden extra fees…
You may have just stumbled across us on the Internet and love what you see, however, the majority of our work comes from clients who have been choosing our event catering services for years, referrals, and guests who have enjoyed one of our events…
Whether you know what we do or not, our approach usually starts with an exchange of emails and calls to get an idea of the type of event you are planning – i.e. a wedding, birthday party or intimate dinner – of course dates and approximate numbers are also important at this stage.
The next step is a meeting with me (Mrs Goose!), where we talk through your vision in much more detail, discussing menus, event dressing and much more. After this I will be able to create a priced package which meets (and exceeds) your expectations.
When comparing quotes it’s important to note what’s included as extras can mount up. Our standard service (included in your quote) includes the food but also high-quality table linen, table glasses (typically two wine glasses and a water glass), crockery and cutlery. Our service can also include table decorations, and complete room dressing… transforming your venue.
Securing your date…
If you decide that we are right for your special event the next step is to sign a written confirmation, and at this stage we will require a deposit.
Often, I will meet with you a second (or more!) time(s) to finalise arrangements, this is particularly important for bigger events and of course weddings! We will always visit the venue or location well ahead of your event as it is also important to ensure we fully understand the facilities (or lack of!) that are available.
Two months before your event we need to firm things up a little bit more – i.e. approximate numbers, menu choices, services and other general arrangements. Final numbers are required 9 days prior to your event. The final invoice will be based on these numbers or the numbers on the actual event, whichever is greater. The remaining balance is required 7 days before your event.
For all or our events either Tessa or I will be with you throughout the duration to ensure everything thing runs smoothly, and you thoroughly enjoy your occasion.
You can be assured that your menu will be created from the finest ingredients. We have worked with our suppliers for many years; all our meat is British, and our vegetables are sourced from local farms wherever possible.
